On the 28th of August, 2022, everyone interested in art is invited to take part in a doodling session with doodle artist Sijin Gopinathan. People of all levels of experience, beginners to advanced are welcome to this drop-in session.
Doodling is an unconscious drawing made during some kind of activity. These are scribbles, flowers, Christmas trees, or even strange images that we draw while sitting at a lecture, a boring meeting, or during a long telephone conversation.
The doodling session is open to ages 15+. Drawing lovers will make, share and learn with other participants and the instructor. The lesson will concentrate on how art may be incorporated into our lifestyle. Participants are invited to bring their personal belongings (such as shoes, bags, t-shirts, notebooks, etc.) to changed them into a personalised piece.
According to research by psychologists, doodling can help a person not to lose concentration and not to doze off during some boring activity and not to spend too much mental energy on processing the information received.
Sijin Gopinathan is a doodle artist based in Dubai with his own unique style working on different brand collaborations to make special doodle art projects around the UAE and India. Sijin has won several awards in international doodle painting. Using only a reusable marker, Sijin Gopinathan often doodles in front of a live audience. At the recent World Art Dubai, he amazed visitors by doodling for his passion project — Save the Nature, calling attention to deforestation, water pollution, animal extinction and massive bird mortality.
The drop-in lesson will take place at Tashkeel Nad Al Sheba from 10 am until 1pm. The fee is AED 250.00 (+VAT). Please note fees are non-refundable.
