The Quoz Arts Fest, the region’s most-loved arts and culture festival, will return on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 of January, 2022. Organised by Alserkal Avenue, it is the Middle East’s most significant annual arts and culture festival across the creative industrial neighbourhood of Al Quoz, Dubai. Since 2012, the two-day arts and culture festival is a cultural movement led by leading thinkers and makers from the realms of art, design, music and performance in the UAE and beyond. This arts and culture event includes exhibitions, master classes, concerts by artists and much more. In the galleries, located in the buildings of the former warehouses, you can see the work of talented artists from all over the world.

It is great to spend a weekend here with the whole family: fun activities for children, food trucks with delicious food and beautiful sunny weather will give a great mood to visitors of all ages. The entrance is free and open to the public.

The founder of Alserkal, Abdelmonem Bin Eisa Alserkal, says: “Al Quoz is the heartbeat of Dubai’s creative economy and, since its founding almost a decade ago, Quoz Arts Fest by Alserkal has been a platform to celebrate and support the homegrown artistic pioneers and their audiences, who together form the foundation of the city’s cultural scene.”

Gaia, a seven metres artwork by Artist Luke Jerram, will be displayed at Concrete on 29 and 30 January. It is a 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface. Outdoor music and dance performances will take place during the weekend in The Yard. On 29 January, performances include Satwa3000 and Jindi singer. On 30 January, there will be an outdoor freestyle dance performance by Moncef Zebiri in collaboration with Sima Performing Arts as well as a performance by DJ Michelle, and Hamdan Al Abri. Buskers will activate the lanes of the Avenue, including Busker Big Hass.

Reel Palestine will return with a film festival in Cinema Akil and a market in the Back Lane, featuring a curated collection of unique crafts, souvenirs, and flavours made and inspired by Palestinian tradition. A partner of Quoz Arts Fest 2022, DP World, will present a mix of physical and digital experiences – an engaging programme for any age group.

All-day activities will include drone flying, nerf battle, spray painting, balancing boards, and arcades with prizes to be won. There will be an all-night outdoor movie marathon in collaboration with Cinema Akil, which will take place on the night of 29 January.
