On the 10th and 11th of September, 2022, visitors have an amazing opportunity to take a trip on kayaks around the beautiful museum, Louvre Abu Dhabi, during the full moon and learn all about Louvre Abu Dhabi’s architecture from a unique perspective.

The fee is from AED126.00. Life jacket, a guide and a bottle of drinking water are included in the tour. Guests will be accompanied by professional instructors and given a safety and paddle briefing prior to the tour. No prior experience is necessary.

The organisers ask the participants to prepare appropriate water activity clothing and footwear since you might get wet. In addition, it is a good idea to take a towel with you as well as some extra clothes to change after kayaking. A toilet is available on site.

There are two times available: either at 8pm or at 9:30pm. The participants are asked to arrive 10-15 minutes earlier in order to get ready. Tours last 60 minutes. People from the age of 6 are invited.

The Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum of Art and Culture opened in 2017. The museum was created as part of a thirty-year agreement between the city of Abu Dhabi and the French government. The main mission of the museum is to bridge the gap between the art of the East and the West.

The museum project was developed by French architect Jean Nouvel, a winner of the prestigious Pritzker Prize, an analogue of the Nobel Prize in architecture. The openwork dome of the museum creates a shadow reminiscent of “the shadow of date palms in an oasis”. The snow-white walls of the museum halls are surrounded by water, which gives the visitor the feeling that the museum is under the open sky on the high seas.
