Immerse yourself in the hugeness of the universe at the “Destination Cosmos. The Ultimate Challenge”, an exciting new space-themed digital art exhibition (a collaboration between Infinity des Lumières, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre and the French National Centre for Space Studies (CNES)). At the Infinity des Lumières at Dubai Mall, you have a chance to travel to outer space.

130 projectors, 58 speakers and 3,000 HD digital moving images work together to create a solar-system-traversing, a labyrinth of stars, planets and supernovae that see guests journeying to the outer reaches of the universe, beginning at the CNES tracking station in the Guyanese rainforest and including real-life footage from NASA and the Emirates Mars Mission.

The Infinity des Lumières created this digital exhibition as a homage to the UAE’s space achievements and its giant leap into space. The first Emirati astronaut was sent into space in 2019, and the UAE-built Hope Mars probe triumphantly went into orbit around Mars in February 2021.

The human fascination with exploring space is inspired by the UAE’s impressive roadmap to the stars, which entails sending a UAE lunar rover to the moon, and launching an Analog mission to prepare humans for the long jump through the void to the Red Planet. Last year, the UAE already doubled the size of its astronaut team with two new astronauts, including the first woman astronaut.
