XVA Gallery invites everybody to visit Mapping The Mind, a duo exhibition by Dubai-based artists Behnoosh Feiz and Shahram Karimi. This thought-provoking showcase examines the dynamic relationship between inner and outer worlds and will be open to the public until 2 January 2024.
Behnoosh Feiz’s meditative paintings explore the rhythms of the mind, capturing moments of calm and restlessness. “In the fleeting space between stillness and movement, I find a delicate balance, allowing the mind to roam freely,” the artist says. Her works highlight the unity between inner stillness and external expression, encouraging viewers to embrace a cycle of release and renewal.

Shahram Karimi draws inspiration from traditional Persian miniature art and his personal experiences in a globalised world. His paintings delve into identity and belonging, incorporating traditional Iranian printed fabrics as canvases to add depth and dreamlike qualities. These materials evoke visions of the artist’s life in Iran, offering a poignant connection to his heritage.
About the artists
Behnoosh Feiz (b. 1971), fascinated with art since childhood, studied painting and drawing under esteemed artists in Shiraz (Iran) from 1990 to 1993. She moved to Germany in 1993, where she studied Naturopathy and earned a BTEC Professional Diploma in Interior Design in 2007. Upon relocating to the UAE that same year, Feiz founded her own interior design studio.
Deeply inspired by spirituality, ancient literature, and Rumi’s poetry, Feiz’s art reflects her belief in humanity’s divine connection with the universe. Her artworks narrate stories of this profound relationship, encouraging contemplation and introspection.

Feiz has taken part in several collective exhibitions in Dubai, including at Tashkeel Art Gallery (2024), Tashkeel Nad Al Sheba (2022), XVA Hotel Art Gallery (2021), Tashkeel Al Fahidi (2019), and the One&Only Hotel (2019). The artist has also undertaken residencies at Arteles (Finland, 2024), XVA Hotel Art Gallery (2022), and Tashkeel Villa in Al Fahidi (2021).
