Downtown Design is the commercial highlight of Dubai Design Week, most anticipated design event of the year. Downtown Design is the leading Middle East design fair, showcasing the most prominent and interesting designers of the region and internationally acclaimed design artists, brands and manufacturers from abroad.
This fair is all about contemporary design, attracting leading design professionals from the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and beyond. Dubai’s rapidly growing economy is the main reason for the success of the region’s burgeoning design industry. It has generated a knock-on effect on the local property market, and interior design is one of many industries to benefit from this boom.

Visitors will have a chance to see an extraordinary collection of hand-knotted rugs by multifaceted designer Bethan Laura Wood, presented by CC-Tapis; architectural lighting by Lutron and VitrA collaborating with Tom Dixon in the Middle East. Parisian design gallery Anne Jacquemin Sablon will present pieces by interior designer Tristan Auer, among other designers and Colombian textile studio Verdi will show a collection of handcrafted pieces of rare natural fibres woven with metals.
Part of the fair, Downtown Editions, will be dedicated to limited edition design. Design gallery House of Today will be presenting works by Lebanese creatives Stephanie Moussallem and Roula Salamoun among others; Emirati designer Omar Al Gurg will exhibit his brand Modu Method.
Visitors will also have a chance to see and buy a curated selection of collectible design and craft pieces from Egypt, Jordan and Uganda. Kuwaiti designer Meshary AlNassar will present collection of pieces using natural materials
The main champagne lounge will be hosted by Veuve Clicquot, celebrating the maison’s 250th anniversary.
