Collaborating with Fever, an international live-entertainment platform, Infinity des Lumières hosts Raise Vibration, a digital immersive show dedicated to the works of Antoni Gaudi, Vassily Kandinsky, and Paul Klee. The artists were heavily inspired by music: actually, it shaped their lifestyles, so the show is accompanied by special soundtrack including, for example, several famous songs such as Rhapsody in Blue by American composer George Gershwin, Riders of the Storm by The Doors, and Space Oddity by David Bowie.
The exhibition includes three shows, each of them lasting 15 minutes.
The first show is “Gaudi: The Architect of Imaginary”. It celebrates the creativity of the renowned Catalan architect and designer. Visitors can dive into a whirlpool of spirals, decorated motifs, and vivid colours illustrating Antoni Gaudi’s distinctive projects: the Parc Güell, the Casa Batlló, the Casa Milà, and the Sagrada Família, which have been added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage sites. This dream-like show is the interplay of light and art complemented by Gershwin’s music.
The second section of the exhibition, “Kandinsky: The Odyssey of Abstraction”, is divided into two parts. One of them is devoted to figurative work of this Russian painter and an art theorist who took inspiration from Russian culture. The other part is focused on the dawn of abstraction. It explores the force of movement through the rhythm of abstract forms and colour. Vassily Kandinsky aimed to create paintings which could be as abstract and emotional as music, so its distinct pulses can be found in his artistic patterns.
“Paul Klee: Painting Music” is the third part of Raise Vibration. Starting with an opera overture, it then brings one to an imaginary city. There, they can listen to an underwater concerto in the company of many-coloured fish. The show mesmerises visitors with moving reflections of water and a rhythm of geometric structures. An interlude featuring vibrational symphonies marks the show’s end.
Infinity des Lumières, the biggest (3, 300 sq m) digital art venue in the Gulf region, is located in Dubai Mall. It offers one immersion in the masterpieces of world art with the help of 130 video projections and 379 screens.
