ME Dubai is hosting British abstract artist Nat Bowen as the newest Artist in Residence from 23rd February till 31st March. Nat Bowen presents colourful artworks, including her largest artwork, the “Chromalith”, an Instagrammable wall of FragmentsÒ and her latest artwork, “Artura Aura”, which is a collaboration with McLaren, showing the McLaren Artura high-performance hybrid supercar featuring her artwork.

ME Dubai’s Atrium, designed by Zaha Hadid, has been transformed into an immersive and unique catwalk for the Middle East’s first “Artwalk”, showcasing the artist’s new FragmentsÒ artwork collection.

In the Atrium, a live artistic painting performance immerses visitors into a creative expression of their own. Accompanied by music from ME Dubai’s resident DJ, visitors participate in deep conversations and discuss their love for art. In addition, they can try a creatively crafted drink inspired by Nat’s art and made specially to honour the occasion.

Nat Bowen is a leading British abstract resin artist known for her vibrant, colourful paintings. The artist uses the study of Chromology, the psychology behind colour, as the foundation of her art. This knowledge is incorporated into the work as a way to communicate nonverbally through colour, with the viewer having a physical and emotional response to the art based on their own perceptions and personal experiences.

“Dubai is a melting pot of talent, and since my recent move here, I have been immersed in innovation which excites me as an artist. I am thrilled to be bursting onto the Dubai art scene with a big splash of colour with my grandest solo show to date at ME Dubai and to reveal my collaboration with McLaren which sees the Artura showcased on another level. The ME Dubai champions artistic talent and the importance of female representation which resonates with me so the hotel, with its stunning architectural and interior design by Zaha Hadid, is the perfect venue for my first solo exhibition in the UAE curated by Gone Rogue founder, Kim Shaylor.,” says Nat Bowen.
