ME Dubai, designed by Zaha Hadid, welcomes contemporary artist James Goldcrown as its Artist in Residence, starting from 15th January.
One of the world’s most innovative creative talents, renowned for his #LOVEWALL murals, will organise a pop-up studio in ME Dubai’s Atrium. James Goldcrown’s many projects led to his first show at Miami Basel, where his works sold out in 2 hours. He has collaborated with brands and companies such as L’Oreal, Sephora, Universal, Vogue, and many others.
Artists-in-Residence (A.i.R) Dubai brings together expertise and resources from arts organisations to support international exchange through artistic research, production and residencies. A.i.R Dubai aims to promote international discourse and exposure in the UAE through open studios, educational activities and new commissions as part of Art Dubai Projects.
During James’ residency, visitors to ME Dubai will be able to witness the amazing creative skills and unrivalled imagination James is globally famous. His studio, located at the ‘heart’ of ME Dubai’s Atrium, has been designed to capture James’ artistic process, display some of his most iconic works and demonstrate how he creates his art.
