Louvre Abu Dhabi invites everyone to join its Immersive Flow Sessions, where one can enjoy ancient yogic practices and sound-based healing. The classes are held on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The duration of the class is one hour, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM or from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Recommended age of a participant is 16+.
On Tuesdays, one is offered to attend Power Yoga with Meena Karani. It is a great full-body workout: it is a fast-paced style of yoga which is focused on building strength and flexibility. Using breathwork, participants will learn how to position themselves into balances correctly.
On Saturdays, the Hatha Yoga class is held by Chaithra Jain. Hatha yoga includes physical techniques which are used to preserve and channel the vital energy. Participants will pay their attention to their breath, which helps one to withdraw their mind from external objects — being more present in the unfolding of each moment.
Also, Meena Karani holds the Sound Healing & Restorative Stretching class. Here, sound healing, which is a form of healing that uses different vibrations to heal the body, mind and spirit, is combined with yoga. Participants will slow down and open up their body through passive stretches.
On Sundays, two classes only for ladies are held: Hatha Yoga with Meena Karani and Pranayama Meditation with Chaithra Jain.
The Pranayama practice is all about breathing exercises and patterns: one purposely inhales, exhales, and holds their breath in a specific sequence. In this class, participants will be able to recognise the connections between breath, the mind and emotions.
Taking part in the yoga classes costs 105 AED (access to the galleries and exhibition is included). Please note that participants should bring their own yoga mats. Participants are kindly asked to arrive 15 minutes before the session starting time and head to the meeting point.
