Khawla Art Gallery in Dubai is proud to host She is Rich, a solo exhibition by contemporary Lebanese artist Louma Rabah which pays tribute to the boundless spirit of nature. Through her abstract works, Rabah delves into the interplay of light and colour, expressing her profound emotional connection to the natural world. The show will be open to the public until 30 November 2024.
The exhibited collection of artworks showcases colourful depictions of Lebanese landscapes, cityscapes, and towns, brought to life through bold brushstrokes and vibrant hues. Each work captures Lebanon’s natural beauty and cultural soul, preserving fleeting moments and the unique charm of places in transition. Rabah’s art serves as a heartfelt homage to Lebanon’s endangered cultural and natural heritage, evoking both landscapes and the emotions they inspire.
Visitors are welcome to immerse themselves in Rabah’s visual reflections, experiencing a dialogue between the tangible beauty of nature and the intangible feelings it stirs.

About the artist
Louma Rabah (b. 1980) is a Beirut-based artist who studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design at the Lebanese American University. Before becoming a professional painter at the age of 30, she worked as a graphic designer and animator.
Using calligraphy and patchwork techniques as well as a vibrant palette that is often inspired by nature and its beauty, Rabah creates expressive abstract pieces which bring the wonders and beauty of landscapes and cityscapes to life. The artist paints towns and cities she feels a connection with, mostly her hometown. Her cities, which sometimes lie between reality and the dream, delve into ancestral memories and the longing for an ideal utopian city. The theme of the loss of Lebanon’s natural environment and heritage is also an important one in Rabah’s practice.

The artist has displayed her work in several exhibitions in her home country and abroad, including Upcycled tree art (Dar el Nimer, Beirut, 2023); Art to Learn (Lebanese American University New York, USA, 2022); and Art.B.Dubai (DIFC, Dubai, 2021). She has also showcased her art in such venues as Carrousel du Louvre (Paris, France, 2017), Loreta Larkina Art Studio (Venice, Italy, 2016), Noon Art Gallery (Dubai, 2015), and Bandak Art Gallery (Amman, Jordan, 2012), among others.
