M7 presents Art and Design Now: Year End Show, a group exhibition celebrating the graduating cohort of VCUarts Qatar’s undergraduate art and design programmes, alongside the Master of Fine Arts in Design. The exhibition also features works from Foundation Year students and, for the first time, showcases projects from the new Bachelor of Fine Arts in Kinetic Imaging.

Open until 5 July 2025, the show spotlights more than 70 emerging voices across a wide spectrum of disciplines, including fashion, graphic design, painting, sculpture, installation, interior architecture, and digital media. Together, their works reflect the energy and complexity of contemporary creativity in Qatar and beyond.

From sustainability and heritage to digital culture, identity, and material innovation, the displayed projects engage with pressing global and local themes. These experimental and socially conscious works offer insight into how the next generation of artists and designers are responding to both local and global contexts.

Held annually, the Year End Show serves as a vital platform for young creatives to present their final projects in a professional setting. This year’s edition transforms M7’s gallery spaces into a vibrant, forward-looking landscape of ideas, aesthetics, and design thinking, marking the beginning of new creative trajectories.

About M7

Opened in 2021 by Qatar Museums under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa, M7 is a 29,000 m² flagship for fashion, design, tech, and innovation in Msheireb Downtown Doha.

Designed by John McAslan + Partners, M7 is structured around a monumental skylit atrium and angular staircase: architectural references to traditional Qatari courtyard houses. Shaded façades and filtered light echo the ambience of nearby Souq Waqif while responding to local environmental conditions. The venue houses co-working spaces, a concept store, a makers’ cutting lab, incubation programmes, galleries, learning studios, and a café-restaurant.

M7 operates on seven guiding principles — Inspire, Equip, Validate, Empower, Accelerate, Connect, and Promote — to foster Qatar’s creative economy. It hosts exhibitions, masterclasses, public talks, and retail pop‑ups, highlighting local and regional talent.
