Louvre Abu Dhabi invites everyone to enjoy yoga under the dome to help calm one’s mind and find inner peace. The classes take place twice a day on Saturdays at 11am and 5pm (mixed classes), on Sundays at 11am and 5pm (ladies only classes) and on Tuesdays at 11am and 5pm (mixed classes). The duration of the class is 1 hour 15 minutes. Recommended age 15+. The classes are run by the Bodytree Studio.

Yoga is considered one of the most unique and effective systems of healing the body. It combines a set of physical exercises, breathing techniques and concentration. Regular practice changes lives for the better and leads to amazing health results.

The museum setting in which to explore the healing power of nature and art is truly unique. Jean Nouvel, the Pritzker-prize winning architect of the museum, found inspiration in traditional Arabic architectural culture. The eight layered dome’s geometric design allows light to penetrate the layers creating a cinematic “rain of light” effect as the sun moves throughout the day. Supporting piers were designed to be hidden within the building giving an impression that the dome is floating.

Also, the yoga experience is enjoyed with the accompaniment of Contemplative Vibes playlist on anghami.

There are some safety measures everyone must follow to enjoy a safe and comfortable experience. Participants should bring their own yoga matts, water bottles and towels. Payments should be made online prior to the session. Social distancing measures (2m) are in place. Masks need to be worn within the museum premises, but can be removed during the session. Each session will have a maximum of 20 participants

The price for one session is AED 90. It includes access to the galleries and exhibitions. Participants are advised to arrive 15 minutes before the session starting time and head to the meeting point.
