The “Illuminate: A Noor Riyadh Capsule” exhibition is now held in Hayy Jameel. It runs until March 31, 2022. A series of large-scale, immersive light installations is situated across Hayy Jameel’s first floor. They are adapted from the first Noor Riyadh festival organised by Riyadh Art in 2021.

“Illuminate: A Noor Riyadh Capsule” showcases works by eleven major Saudi artists who have contributed significantly to furthering the technical and social practice of art-making in the Kingdom and wider region. In their new form at Hayy Jameel, the works reflect the role of the arts in the city in the context of Jeddah’s new community hub. Participating artists include Ahmed Angawi, Dana Awartani, Ayman Daydban, Manal Al Dowayan, Sultan bin Fahad, Ahmed Mater, Maha Malluh, Marwah Al Mugait, Nasser Al Salem, Rashed Al Shashai and Saeed Gamhawi.

Also, the capsule reflects the Royal Commission for Riyadh City’s (RCRC) core mission of bringing art closer to the city and people in the context of  Hayy Jameel, Jeddah’s new community-centred creative complex.

Noor Riyadh is a new citywide annual festival of light and art that nurtures creativity, promotes talent and delivers awe-inspiring experiences. Launched on March 18, 2021, Noor Riyadh is a project under Riyadh Art.
