Bluewaters Art Festival marks the debut of the island’s first-ever art celebration — a tribute to human creativity and a platform for the most talented artists to showcase their work. Calling itself “more than just an art showcase,” the festival is a vibrant space for expression, where artists and creators can explore new perspectives through mesmerising murals, immersive installations, and thought-provoking experiences. The event will take place from 12 to 20 April 2025.
Re:connect is the festival’s core theme: a call to rediscover the power of art as a bridge that connects people, cultures, and ideas. The festival explores the connection between tradition and innovation, humanity and nature through a creative dialogue that resonates beyond the canvas.
At the festival, Firetti Contemporary Gallery will present a specially curated selection of works by eight exceptional artists, each bringing their voice, medium, and story to this vibrant celebration.
Other artists participating in the festival include:
Fink 22
A British street artist now based in Dubai, Fink 22 is renowned for his colourful, one-line faces that have captivated audiences across the Middle East. His artwork can be found in cities such as Berlin, London, and Melbourne. Known for injecting beauty into urban spaces with his vivid style, his pieces also offer thoughtful commentary on themes like identity and human connection.

Kaveh Ahangar
A Persian artist brought up in Dubai, Ahangar honed his skills through hands-on experimentation with mural painting, freehand drawing, and illustration. Drawing inspiration from his song lyrics and personal experiences, he fuses Islamic geometric forms with a contemporary flair. Ahangar’s work is a powerful expression of individuality and cultural heritage.
Rabab Tantawy
Originally from Egypt and a resident of Dubai for the past 17 years, Tantawy’s passion for painting began in childhood, inspired by watching her mother create art. Later, she pursued formal lessons and developed a distinct style influenced by artists like Paul Guiragossian and Henri Matisse. For the artist, the creative process is an ever-evolving journey of discovery.

Yousra Wahba
An Egyptian artist based in Dubai, Wahba’s abstract works draw from the richness of Ancient Egyptian heritage and blend it with contemporary aesthetics. Using fluid movements of colour, she creates visual expressions of emotion, exploring themes such as female identity, loss, and transformation. Her art offers a meditative escape from the busyness of daily life.
