SAF summer art school continues. Week 2 includes various workshops for Children and Families. On the 19th of July, 2022, interesting workshops for different ages will take place. The languages spoken are English and Arabic. All materials needed will be provided by Sharjah Art Foundation.
The Camaïeu Painting Technique workshop for children aged from 11 to 15 will take place at Gallery 4, Al Mureijah Art Spaces, starting from 11:00 am and until 1:00 pm. Children will learn about a painting technique called camaïeu. An image is created in different shades or hues of some particular colour. The colour is often chosen as the one which is not usually associated with the painted object. With the help of the art teacher, teenagers will paint still life on canvas in order to practice the camaïeu painting technique.
The Make Your Own Movie Poster workshop is designed for children aged from 6 to 10. The event will take place at Collections Building, Arts Square, and will last from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Inspired by a cartoon poster that will be shown to the participants during the workshop, children will make their own movie poster.
Turn Your Memories into Comics Course with Wafaa Ibrahim is also intended for children aged from 6 to 10 years old. The event will take place at The Flying Saucer and will last from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Here, participants will learn about comic books. They will be asked to remember something from their life, regardless of the emotion they felt at the time, and turn it into a drawing.
