Silk painting refers to paintings on silk which has been known to mankind since ancient times. It is a traditional way of painting in Asia. Methods vary but this textile art uses traditional supplies of 100% silk fabric stretched in a frame with an application of textile paints or dyes.

Silk painting is a beautiful art form chosen by those who love fine work and creativity with a lot of details and colour accents. It is real art, a technique with many principles and rules; however, at the same time, it is a rewarding activity.

The Asian continent has the richest history of textile painting. The first samples of painting on fabric that have been found date back to 3000 BC. In 327 BC, during the invasion of India by Alexander the Great, patterned Indian fabrics became known, which began to be successfully sold throughout Asia, in Egypt, Greece. These fabrics arrived in Europe and Africa only in the 2nd century AD.

Already at the beginning of our era, silk painting, printing on fabric, screen printing on fabric began to be used in China. The Japanese also mastered this art.

Glass painting is made with special paints on a smooth glass surface. Coloгred stained glass windows and rays of light passing through them are truly a magnificent sight. Fortunately, in order to create your own glass painting, you do not need to have any special training. It is enough to choose a suitable sketch, take a base, paints, and inspiration will come by itself.
