The 3d and 4th day of Art Dubai Talks 2023 promises to be as eventful as the 1st one. One will have an opportunity to join another four thought-provoking panel discussions with international and Emirati artists, art collectors, and cultural professionals.
On the 3d of March, the following panel discussions will take place:
When Art Meets Sustainability
6:00 PM – 7:00 PM
The panel will be dedicated to interaction between art and sustainability in the framework of an art commission by a brand. Fabien Vallérian, international Arts and Culture Director for Ruinart, the Champagne house exclusively producing champagne since 1729, and Matthieu Gafsou, a photographer of architecture and photography professor residing in Lausanne, Switzerland, will participate in the discussion.
The Art Library: Launch of Hassan Sharif and Manal AlDowayan’s Books
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
The panel’s participants will give their opinion on the new releases from “The Art Library: Discovering Arab Artists” series. It is an initiative focused on documenting and publishing a series of books on Arab artists who played an essential role in shaping the Arab world’s modern and contemporary art scene.
The latest releases from the series feature Manal AlDowayana, a Saudi Arabian contemporary artist, and Hassan Sharif (1951-2016), an Emirati artist and writer considered the father of conceptual art in the Gulf region. Although the artists belong to different generations, they both have a non-hierarchical approach to making of art and distinctive performative and participatory elements.
The panel will be followed by book signing.
On the 4th of March, one will hold the following panels:

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
