Art Dubai Talks 2023 comprises a series of exciting sessions that focus on the latest trends in the world of art. It will start on March 2 and last until March 5. Leading international and Emirati cultural organisations will be invited to lead the discussion sessions.
On the 2d of March, the following panel discussions will be held:
A Journey Through Art and Fragrance
06:00 PM – 07:00 PM
One will be given a chance to immerse oneself in Guerlain’s world and learn about its connections with renowned artists and designers and the expansion to working with global creatives. Moderated by Rosemin Manji, a digital influencer, and brand ambassador for Houses like Hermès, the discussion will feature Nadine Kanso, Guerlain’s piece designer, and Guerlain master perfumer Thierry Wasser.
What is a Gallery’s Role Within a Creative Ecosystem?

Laila Binbrek (Director of the National Pavilion UAE), Asmaa Al-Shabibi (Director of art gallery Lawrie Shabibi), Sunny Rahbar (Co-Founder of art gallery The Third Line), and Isabelle van den Eynde, who founded IVDE, will talk about the relationship between artists and gallerists and the ebb and flow of developing and promoting their artists on global events.
New Institutional Models
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM
During this session, one will explore new types of cultural spaces providing greener and more feasible alternatives for hosting exhibitions. A special attention will be paid to the part architecture plays in creating such options. Faisal Al Hassan, Director of Warehouse421, and Elizabeth Dellert, Chief Business Development Officer at Cromwell Place, will speak about the measures these centers have taken to recontextualize spaces. The discussion will be moderated by Richard Wagner, an architect and design technologist who is especially interested in sustainability.
Contemporary Tradition, An Etihad Museum Programme
7:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Moderated by Louisa Macmillan (an independent editor, writer, curator, and researcher), the panel will also include eL Seed, contemporary calligraphy artist; Nour Hage, an award-winning artist and designer; and Timo Nasseri, a photographer and sculptor. They will have a conversation about the concept of contemporary tradition by looking at the border between tradition and the contemporary across a range of aesthetic expressions.
